In 2011 Ashley was cast to portray Jessica Finch in the family comedy Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and received recognition in 2012 when the role was given to her voice and raccoons in the popular animated comedy Ernest & Celestine that starred Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson and Pauline Brunner and follows the friendship between Ernest the bear and Celestine the mouse. The film was nominated for awards and was awarded 29 awards with the Oscar being among them.
